GE Water Filter: Which Filter Is Best?The next GE water filter
to be
reviewed is the GE GXFM04FBL

System, and again , this one reduces all the other bacteria and harmful
substances that the above one does, and really is fairly comparable
except for
the chrome finish, making it nicer to look at.
It’s
only
a few dollars more expensive, priced at around thirty dollars, and a
lot of
people enjoy the sleek finish of chrome, so if style is important to
you, this
is one you should look into.
The
GE smart
water slim refrigerator filter is next up, and this one is a bit more
pricey
than the other two, priced at fifty five dollars, but remember,
it’s a
refrigerator system,
which
are traditionally
more expensive. This one eliminates cysts, chlorine tastes, sediment

and turbitidy, and you will have to replace this one roughly every half
a year,

included. The top
of the line GE
Water filter,
however, has not even been mentioned yet, and that is the General
Electric GE
SmartWater Filter Cartridge. This one sells for just over a hundred
dollars,
but by most accounts, it’s worth it, and its’
strengths are
that it works fast,
unlike some filters, which it seems like you have to wait days until
your cup
is full. The
water doesn’t taste bad, which is a problem with
many filters, and it’s simple to keep up, again, unlike many
filters, which it
seems like you have to have an MIT degree just to figure out how to set
it up
and keep it up. Likewise, it’s easy to install, and it also
works
without
making much noise.,
There
are a few negatives according to some
consumers, such as that the filter replacement process is somewhat
challenging,
and it’s also a tad pricier than others. The bottom line is,
if
you are going
to be spending more than one hundred dollars (or at least that amount)
for a water
filter, you might want to consider going with other, more prominent
brands such
as whirlpool or Amman, but you certainly can’t go wrong with
a GE
water filter
either.
